Jen Carney
RBT

Hello! My name is Jennifer Carney.

I joined the Puzzle Box/Kaleidoscope team in November 2016 as a Teacher’s Aide.  I was very fortunate to be able to take the Registered Behavior Technician course through Puzzle Box in January 2017. I passed the board exam in March 2017 to become a Registered Behavior Technician. I came on board at Kaleidoscope in November 2018.  I have enjoyed every second learning and working with this team.

I have been in early education since 1994 as a preschool teacher. I am certified through the Department of Children and Families and the state of Florida. It was an easy transition into special education as I feel it is where my heart is. This experience has helped me in the responsibility of providing art and sensory lessons to the early intervention clients at KI.

I am a mother of 3 beautiful children, 18, 14, and 5.  Most of my free time is spent with them.  I enjoy reading and karaoke and anything musical. I can play the piano and the guitar.

Giancarlo Sanjurjo

Hello, my name is Giancarlo and I am a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Kaleidoscope Interventions. What I do is provide Applied Behavioral Analytic services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) writes up the treatment programs and I implement them with the client. Our goal is to help them become more independent in their daily routines and improve their overall quality of life. I have been in this field for two years and I love what I do.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Florida Institute of Technology. Currently I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. My goal is to become a BCBA and continue to work with children with ASD. I would like to do some psychological work on the side in the future as well.

I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and I lived there for 11 years until I moved to Melbourne, Florida in 2007. Some things I like to do are watch movies, play video games, attend theme parks, and spend time with friends. My favorite holiday is Halloween so when the season arrives, I go all out by going to haunted houses and costume parties, watching scary movies, and doing some trick or treating.

I am very thankful to have the opportunity to work in this field and I look forward to making a significant impact with those I serve.
