Christina (Stina) Pineyro
Hello there! My name is Christina, but most people just call me Stina. I was born in New York and raised in Melbourne. Spent most of my early 20’s traveling and working jobs at different camps. I am currently a Clinical Aid at KI, working towards my RBT certification. I am going to school for a degree in Recreational Therapy, and I am hoping to bring the beautiful art of play into my work at KI.
Throughout my professional career I have always found a sense of comfort and purpose while working with youth, especially those on the Autism Spectrum. I have spent many summers working for various Paul Newman Serious Fun Network Camps. I truly enjoy working with teams and individuals trying to make sure the word “no” is taken out, and “let’s figure out what can be done” is the option instead. My experience in theater, high ropes, archery, rock climbing, leadership training, and passion for helping to foster and facilitate meaningful connections and conversations are all skills I am hoping to bring to the team at KI.
I have various hobbies I enjoy exploring on my time off. Fitness is a joy of mine rock climbing, hiking, and aerial yoga are a few of my favorites. I also enjoy all artistic outlets, music and painting are two of my favorites. I know three languages fluently, and I am currently on track to become an ASL interpreter. Traveling is one of my go to pastimes, especially long road trips. I look so forward to improving my craft as well as growing alongside the staff and children who enter the doors each day.
